Our curriculum is a holistic approach to children’s education and we are committed to the social, intellectual, cultural, physical and emotional development of each child by providing a wide range of activities and experiences.

MONTESSORI PHILOSOPHY

Our goal is to allow each child’s optimal intellectual, linguistic, physical, emotional and social development to unfold. The Montessori philosophy aims to take full advantage of children’s natural desire to learn and to foster a love of learning while allowing each child to interact and explore at their own pace. The teacher’s role in the classroom is to observe and guide the children in their self-development. The early years are a vital time in a child’s life and at Evergreen we are passionate about guiding your child through this journey.

AFTER SCHOOL

Here at Evergreen Montessori & Afterschool we offer an Afterschool programme catering for children aged 4-12 from local primary schools. Our Afterschool opens until 6pm. Learn more...

CAMPS

Camps are available at Evergreen during mid-term breaks in October and February, Easter holidays and summer holidays. Full time children are automatically enrolled in all camps which are included in their monthly fees. Camps are optional for half day, part time and afterschool children.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a settling in period?

Yes we do. This will differ for each child, we are happy to work with each family and their individual needs during the settling in period.

What does my child need to bring to Montessori?

On the first day please bring a spare change of clothes with your child’s name on the clothing and a water bottle. We will provide everything else 🙂

Is Evergreen Closed for school Holidays?

We will close for 2 weeks at Christmas and 2 weeks during the summer holidays. We provide camps during the mid-term breaks in October and February. We also provide a 2 week camp during the Easter mid-term break and a 6 week summer camp.

When can my child start in Evergreen?

They can start when they are 2 years and 6 months. They also need to be toilet trained

What schools do you collect from for Afterschool?

We offer a collection service from Riverview Educate Together. A drop off service is also available.

Do you offer NCS and ECCE?

Yes we offer both the NCS and ECCE schemes.

Do you cater for allergy/ dietary requirement?

Yes we cater for any allergy or dietary requirements.

Can I leave my buggy in Evergreen?

Unfortunately we do not have any buggy storage here.

We are delighted to have found such a wonderful setting for our children to attend Montessori and after school. My daughter has just begun her Montessori education at Evergreen. She had never been in any childcare setting before and I was delighted by how quickly she settled in.
